Augmend Excel Add-in

The Augmend Excel Add-in brings the power of AI-driven data extraction directly into your spreadsheets, eliminating the need to switch between applications. Designed for power users who live in Excel, it allows you to process documents and websites while populating results directly into your workbook for immediate analysis and integration.

Prerequisite for Excel add-in to work

To use Augmend Excel add-in, click on the button below to download the manifest xml file. If you are an IT admin, please proceed to this page.

Download XML Manifest

If installing for yourself, follow instructions in the video to install it:

  1. Step 1:Download the manifest file to your download folder.
  2. Step 2: Create a dedicated manifests folder on your computer and copy the file to it.
  3. Step 3: Share the manifests folder using Advanced Sharing settings.
  4. Step 4: Add the manifests folder to the "Trusted Add-in Catalogues".
  5. Step 5: Restart Excel and check under Addins.

Use the Sign up for free preview version button at the bottom of this page to request access

You will be notified when access is granted within 48 hours

Install Excel add-in, and click on Login button in Augmend ribbon to access Sign in button

Using pre-built templates

Use Prebuilt Templates button to start immediately

Search for templates, click Import button to import the template into a project

Process files using Upload buttons in Extract Data menu item

Tip: Check Auto-download after extraction and / or Delete your files after download if you want to.

Creating your own template

If pre-built templates do not match your needs, you can create your own by clicking on Custom Templates

Add project info to Create Project
Configure Extraction by describing in English your extraction need, and optionally provide field info in Excel worksheet and example files or URL.
Press Create Pipeline button.

Once pipeline is successfully created, process your files using the Extract Data button.

Downloading results

Download immediately after extraction using the auto-download option in Extract Data menu item

Alternatively, use Download results button post extraction. Subsequent downloads append to existing data

Standard flattening of json output happens using pre-programmed rules
